Story

Amid the blatant discord in the twin cities of Piltover and Zaun, two sisters fight on opposing sides of a war between magical technologies and conflicting beliefs. See the actors behind some of your favorite animated movies and series, including Ella Purnell from “Arcane.” Fortiche Productions made a music video for Riot called “Get Jinxed” in 2013. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took several years. After the release of the first season, Riot announced that there would be a second season and that it would take less time to produce. The fight scenes were powerful and breathtaking

There’s a common saying that LoL’s big budget went into animation, rather than balancing the champions in the game, and that couldn’t be more true. I wasn’t expecting this level of masterful animation. With each episode, they found more ways to wow the audience with incredible visuals and transitions. While the series hasn’t completely canonized the original lore, it’s still an intense story that created an interesting universe. I’m not going to lie, the first act didn’t really impress me, but episode 4 later had me completely on board.

I wanted more and I hate waiting

My only problem with the story was that I couldn’t get enough of it. Just as cool as the animation were the characters. Many of the character dynamics fascinated me and made me realize how much I needed them. I admit that some of the characters were simple, but not all of them were predictable. Some even surprised me to the core.

Overall, while the game was a love-hate relationship, Arcane was definitely all love and a phenomenal step up in the LOLCU setup. 8.5/10. I rounded up every anime series and movie I could find – created or distributed by Netflix – to see which ones had the highest ratings, according to IMDb users.
